Democratic Syria Debate Platform ends

North Syria Democratic Federal System Founding Assembly Co-President Mensur El- Selum spoke at the closing of the Democratic Syria Debate Platform, and emphasized that a federal system was the only solution option for the current crisis in Syria.

The Democratic Syria Debate Platform, which has been held in Aram Tigran Culture and Arts Center in the Rımêlan district of Rojava’s Girkê Legê town over the past two days, ended. 160 representatives of different opposition groups in Syria discussed solution options for the deepening crisis in Syria.

'SOLUTION WITHOUT INTERNATIONAL POWERS MUST BE SOUGHT'

North Syria Democratic Federal System Founding Assembly Co-President Mensur El- Selum spoke at the closing of the platform and thanked the people for their high participation in the event. Selum stated that people from different parts of Syria came to Rimelan for the platform, and sought an alternative solution to the crisis in Syria that would be independent from the plans of international forces.

'FEDERAL SYSTEM IS THE ONLY WAY TO SOLVE THE CRISIS IN SYRIA'

Selum highlighted the sensitive process in Rojava and Syria and said that thousands of young people that bravely fight ISIS are the reason why there is peace and security in Rojava and North Syria. Selum said "We are ready to continue the federal system, which is the only alternative solution to the current crisis in Syria." Selum underlined that Syria would be cleared off of ISIS and other gang groups, and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) would fight against ISIS gangs in Raqqa and all other parts of North Syria.

Lastly, Selum emphasized the importance of the high and diverse participation in the meeting, and reiterated that the federal system would end the war in Syria.
