DTK, HDK, HDP, DBP and KJA have reiterated their call to Amed people, saying; "Everyone should continue marching to Sur from where they are with noise-making protests".

A joint statement by the mentioned Kurdish parties and organisations underlined that the march will continue until the siege and curfew in Sur is removed, adding; "No one should go back home or take step backward until the siege is ended. People should remain on streets even if it lasts days. This is a historic day when we can remove all the barricades with our resistance, and rescue our people under a threat of massacre in Sur. Diyarbakır has written a history with the resistance it mounted many times before, and it will do the same today."
