Europe protests the seizure of HDP municipalities by the AKP
Kurds and their friends in Europe protested against the AKP seizure of the HDP-run municipalities of Amed, Mardin and Van.
The decision taken by the Turkish Interior Ministry to seize the municipalities of Amed, Mardin and Van was protested in many cities around Europe.
In the German city of Hagen the protest against the AKP decision to seize the three HDP-run municipalities was organised in front of the central train station.
A demonstration was held in Freiburg, at the Alte Synagoge square and saw the participation of hundreds of people from the Kurdish Center in Freiburg, the Nuda Women's Assembly, Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger, the Freiburg Alevi Cultural Route and the Salahaddin-i Eyyubi mosque. A press release was read and a call for the unity of all democratic forces against the political coup was made.
Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger and the Democratic Kurdish Community Center organised a protest in Bonn.
German left party, Die Linke, joined the action.
In Giessen Kurds and their friends also took to the streets to protest the seizure by the AKP of the three HDP-run municipalities.
