An explosion occurred in front of the house of Ekrem Salih, KDP's 22nd Branch Officer, in Kelar district of Germiyan in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

According to RojNews, an explosion occurred on Monday in front of Ekrem Salih's house in Kelar district. The explosion occurred when Ekrem Salih was on his way to work.

Ibrahim Mohammed, the spokesperson of Kelar Civil Defence Directorate, said that they brought the fire under control.

Mohammed stated that there was no loss of life due to the explosion and that the driver of the vehicle was slightly injured in his hand.

Ibrahim Mohammed also pointed out that the KDP official did not file any complaint for an investigation into the incident.
