A mine left behind by ISIS has exploded in the village of Sherayhi Bakur in Shengal (Sinjar) town on Sunday.

According to reports from the ground, the explosion occurred while Iraqi soldiers tried to defuse a mine in the village.

Local sources say that 8 Iraqi soldiers and a civilian were killed by the explosion. It is guessed that the mine was planted by ISIS mercenaries during their occupation of the region.
