In Şırnak's Silopi district, a military object left by state forces exploded in Cudi neighborhood last night, as a result of which eight children were wounded, including two heavily.
No ambulance arrived the scene to retrieve the children who were therewith rushed to Silopi Public Hospital by local people. Following the initial treatment here, Abdulkerim Alkış was referred to Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital, and Resul Eren to Elazığ Training and Research Hospital.
Tuba Ertaş (9), Esra Yiğit (10), Mehmet Ertaş (3), Aygül Bozdağ (7), Sevim Alkiş (11) and Sude Bozdağ' (8) continue their treatment in Silopi Public Hospital.
Witnesses say that the children were wounded after explosion of a munition thrown from inside an armored vehicle of Turkish forces.
