Families of martyrs: Turkey and the KDP have common plans

Members of Qamishlo Council of Martyrs’ Families stated that the attacks of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) against the guerrilla mean fratricide, and the KDP and the Turkish state act in line with their common plans.

Special forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), a partner of the invading Turkish state’s attacks on Medya Defense Zones, attacked a group of guerrillas on July 26. The attacked guerrillas have still been unaccounted for.

Members of Qamishlo Council of Martyrs’ Families spoke to ANHA and stated that the KDP and the Turkish state act within a common plan.

‘KDP’s attacks mean fratricide’

Xeriya Hesen, member of the Qamishlo Council of Martyrs’ Families, said “The HPG protects the KDP against bloody attacks of the Turkish state. The attacks of the KDP against the HPG reveal that the KDP acts in accordance with the Turkish state’s commitments. The KDP cannot dispose of the Turkish state’s captivity.”

Expressing that the KDP’s attacks against the guerrilla mean fratricide, Xeriya continued, “We hope that the KDP will dispose of the manipulation of the enemies. The Turkish state intends to cause an intra-Kurd fight, and if the KDP continues such practices, the enemy will accomplish its objectives. We demand the situation of the missing guerrillas to be explained immediately.”

‘The KDP has chosen betrayal and surrender’

Behcet Deriş, father of the HPG martyr Orhan Newal, said “This is not the first time the KDP has attacked the PKK. The Turkish state has always adopted vicious plans of massacre. However, the Turkish state can never eliminate the HPG. The KDP, which does not serve the interests of Kurdish people in any way, continues to adopt betrayal policies against the people. The Barzani family became the family of Erdogan. They are almost a part of Erdogan’s government. Kurdish people should be well-aware of the KDP’s partnership with the Turkish state.”

Stressing that the KDP chose fratricidal war, Deriş added, “The KDP, which has survived only thanks to the PKK, has chosen betrayal and surrender.”

Likewise, Tirkiya Hiro, sibling of a freedom martyr, expressed that the KDP duplicates the policies it implemented in the 1990s and said, “If the KDP continues such practices, they will pave the way for the annihilation of Kurdish people.”
