Clearing dozens of villages and hamlets of ISIS gangs in the Manbij liberation operation launched on June 1, 2016, the Manbij Military Council fighters are advancing towards the city from the west, east, south and north.

Manbij Military Council fighters advance in a controlled manner because there are still civilians in Manbij city center, ISIS gangs use civilians as human shields and the ISIS gangs have laid many mines around the city.

But Manbij Military Council fighters have also saved thousands of civilians from ISIS gangs and transported them to ffree areas.

CIVILIANS ARRIVING IN THE FREE AREAS: “WE ARE SAVED”

Yesterday, hundreds of civilians from the city center rushed to the areas liberated by the Manbij Military Council fighters. Arrivals were continuing as of this morning.

ISIS gangs have started randomly shooting into their paths with heavy weapons as civilians rushed to the free areas. Many civilians are trapped in the city because of the shooting.

Meanwhile, many civilians are victim to the remote controlled mines laid by ISIS.

Manbij residents who could get out speak of the people suffering oppression, atrocities, looting, torture and massacres under ISIS invasion. They say that it has been hard but they are now safe from ISIS gangs and can live freely.

Manbij Military Council fighters say they are advancing towards the city center in a controlled manner house by house, street by street and that they act very carefully both for the safety of civilians in the city and the mines that ISIS have laid.

Manbij Military Council fighters say they transfer the civilians escaping the ISIS-invaded city center to safe areas. The fighters say they are trying to meet the vital needs of the civilians despite limited resources and emphasize that they will give the good news of victory to the people of Manbij very soon.
