Turkish soldiers partaking in an air-supported military operation set fire to a forested area in Çeltikli-Sihi territory in the countryside of Bitlis province 4 days ago.

The fire continues uninterrupted as military does not allow the locals to extinguish it. Thousands of trees and living beings have burned to ashes so far.

The fire is growing further amid a risk of spreading to surrounding villages in the event of not being extinguished.
