Gerîla TV has released footage from the operation in which HPG/YJA Star guerrillas hit the Turkish soldiers stationed on Hill Kevortê in Sidekan town in northern Iraq on April 24.

A statement by HPG Press Office said the following regarding the action which was carried out as part of the Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Initiative ongoing in South Kurdistan territory;

“A position of the Turkish army on Hill Kevortê, where 5 soldiers were stationed, was struck effectively, leaving 3 soldiers dead and 2 others wounded. Following the action, enemy forces shelled the surrounding area at random and fighter jets bombarded the Kevortê area. Our forces did not suffer any loss as a result of the bombardment.”
