HPG Press Communications Center released footage from the action in Mardin. HPG statement reads:

“Our Guerilla Forces had punished Kazım Kavak, a counter-guerilla officer who martyred our friends in Mardin’s Bernişt village in 1993, in the memory of Nusaybin Resistance Martyrs on May 20, at 10:45. One Akrep-type armored vehicle that arrived after the action to intervene was destroyed with a sabotage action. The special war media announced they had 8 wounded personnel. The unit conducting the action had made recordings. Watching the details of this action on our Guerilla TV website, it can be better understood why the special war media broadcasts lies and deceit that obscure the truth and mislead the society.”
