Footage from the guerrilla resistance area around Girê Cûdî has been published on the online portal Gerîla TV. During the action, the guerrillas struck a Turkish fortification in three columns and blew up the ammunition depot.
The guerrilla struggle in the Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq) is raging in all its fury. The guerrillas succeed in inflicting heavy blows on the Turkish army. A new video from the online platform Gerîla TV of a guerrilla action on 6 August clearly proves this.
On that day, according to HPG, mobile guerrilla units struck a Turkish fortification on Girê Cûdî in three columns at 5.40 pm. Four soldiers were killed by the first column, while the second column assaulted with snipers and killed one soldier, and the third column killed three soldiers and blew up the ammunition depot. The depot went up in flames, exploded and burnt out completely.
