Footage of guerrilla action in Gever

9 Turkish soldiers were killed as result of guerrilla action in the countryside of Hakkari province.

Gerîla TV has published footage of an action in which guerrillas struck an armored military vehicle of the Turkish army last week in Gever (Yüksekova) district of Hakkari province in North Kurdistan.

According to the related statement by the Press Office of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG-BIM), guerrillas tracked two armored military vehicles of the Turkish forces on move from the Wargenima outpost to the Kendalokê village.

At 06:45 on August 16, guerrillas struck one of the vehicles employing sabotage tactics, leaving the vehicle completely destroyed and 9 soldiers in it dead.

HPG-BIM stated that the action was carried out to avenge patriotic civilian Ibrahim Hesen from South Kurdistan who was killed by the Turkish state in the village of Dêşîşê.
