Gerîla TV has released footage from the action in which two soldiers were killed and two others were wounded in the countryside of Hakkari.

HPG Press Office made the following statement about the action;

At 14:00 on February 1, our forces carried out an action against the Turkish military units on Kanires hill in Hakkari’s Şemzînan (Şemdinli) district, effectively hitting the emplacement and containers here. While two soldiers were confirmed killed and two others wounded, the number of casualties is actually higher. Bombing the area with howitzer and mortar fire in the wake of the action, the Turkish army retrieved the casualties from the scene with Sikorsky type helicopters.”
