As part of Martyr Arnos Revolutionary Initiative, guerrillas hit the Turkish soldiers on Elişêr Hill in the countryside of Hakkari's Yüksekova district at 11:00 on October 31.

Guerrillas hit all the emplacements at the peak and around the hill from four sides, as a result of which 10 emplacements were destroyed. Guerrillas also hit the hill with mortars and DShK weapons.

A total of 36 soldiers were killed during the action by guerrillas who later moved in on the bodies and seized one gun and two clips of a ranked soldier, one BKC gun and two hybrids.

In the wake of the action, Turkish army bombarded the area with jets in addition to howitzer, mortar and tank fire while the casualties were retrieved from the scene with Sikorsky helicopters.

One of the Sikorsky helicopters operating in the area was also hit and damaged by guerrillas with heavy weaponry.

4 guerrillas were martyred during the action which was carried out in memory of Martyr Medeni, Martyr Ekin and other guerrillas who recently fell on Elişêr Hill.
