Gerilla TV has released footage from an action in Avashin on May 24 showing the Turkish army bombing their own soldiers and positions.

HPG Press Center had said the following on the action in Avashin: “As part of the Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Initiative that continues in the Medya Defense Zones with effective actions, our forces have carried out an action against an invading Turkish army unit positioned along the road to Hill Xwede from the Grana strait in the Avashin region on May 24 at 10:30.

Our forces hit the enemy unit effectively in the lightning style at close range from 3 sides. 7 enemy soldiers were killed and 1 was wounded in the action where our forces confiscated 1 MPT-76 rifle from enemy casualties. The action was carried out in the conquest style and the attack helicopters arriving to the grounds was also targeted by our forces. The Cobra style helicopter was effectively hit and heavily damaged, and was forced to leave.

A long time after the action, the invading Turkish army removed their casualties from the grounds with Sikorsky helicopters. Our unit has safely reached base grounds after the action.

Our forces carried out a sabotage action against invading Turkish army soldiers positioned on a hill near the Hill Xwede in the Avashin region on May 23 at 17:30 as part of the revolutionary initiative. In this action 1 enemy soldier was killed. The enemy removed their casualty from the grounds with a Sikorsky helicopter afterwards.”
