French mayor calls for support to the sister family project

A call has been made for support to the municipalities that take it upon themselves to deal with the problems of thousands of refugees from Rojava despite the ongoing war in Northern Kurdistan.

The mayor of France’s Champigny-sur-Marne, Dominique Adenot has issued a call for all NGOs, families and groups to pick themselves a sister family so that the 1600 refugees from Rojava in Cizre can have a better life.

Dominique Adenot, member of the French Communist Party (PCF) who issued a press release titled “The Syrian Refugee Camps in Kurdish Cities: An Urgent Call”, stated that there is a tragedy unfolding in Turkey at a time when the despot President Erdoğan is sending back the refugees in cooperation with ISIS.

Adenot pointed out that tens of thousands of refugees fleeing Rojava, primarily Kobanê, are being hosted by the DBP municipalities and said that Erdoğan and the government seized the EU funds for refugees.

Dominique Adenot expressed that around 1600 refugees were clinging to life despite all the destruction, and issued a call for NGO’s, families and aid groups in Champigny-sur-Marne. Adenot called for taking a sister family by giving €150 in support every month and for building a fraternity of solidarity with the refugee camp in Cizre.
