Following today's celebration to mark the 68th birthday of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan in Amara (Ömerli) village in Urfa's Halfeti district, gendarmes conducted a raid on the house Öcalan was born in upon an instruction from Halfeti district prosecutor's office.

Gendarmes continue their search in the house which is at the same time surrounded by the police.
