In Gever (Yüksekova) district of Hakkari where a state of siege remains in place for 31 uninterrupted days, state forces once again started to hit the neighborhoods of self-rule yesterday evening.

Dozens of houses in Cumhuriyet and Güngör neighborhoods have been demolished as a result of the bombing with mortar and artillery fire.

Clashes have erupted between Civilian Defense Units YPS / YPS-JIN and state forces attempting to infiltrate into the neighborhoods this morning. The fighting continues amid huge blasts taking place in the areas of self-rule.

As the popular resistance in neighborhoods endures with determination, a number of armored vehicles have been dispatched to the area today.
