Girê Spî villagers: Turkey can never break our will

Residents of the villages in Rojava's Girê Spî city that are under attack of the Turkish state stressed that: “We will retaliate every attack in kind and never leave our land.”

Military forces of the occupant Turkish state have attacked the villages of Yariqoyê and Süsikê 8 km to Girê Spî city of Rojava with tank and artillery fire. The land structure of both villages is under the control of Turkish state forces, which is why they are being targeted constantly. As Turkish troops target civilian settlements in these villages, hitting three houses and one school during their attacks, residents cannot leave the villages because they are surrounded by Turkish forces.

People in these villages who suffered from ISIS attacks before are now targeted by the Turkish state. In the face of intensified Turkish attacks, villagers state that they will not leave their villages this time, and that they will fight until the end.

Omer Yasin, a resident of the Yabisê village, told the followings: "The Turkish state is attacking us with tanks and artilleries but we will never leave our land. We did not forget what ISIS gangs did before. The Turkish state must know that it will be different this time as we will retaliate every attack in kind. The Turkish state will not be able to break our will."

Meanwhile, Turkish army's attacks on border villages continue.
