Government usurps the municipality of Siirt's Gökçebağ town

Yet another municipality held by the Democratic Regions' Party (DBP) in Northern Kurdistan has been usurped by the government of Turkey.
The government has now usurped the DBP-held municipality of Siirt's Gökçebağ town, the co-mayor of which remains in custody for one week.
Siirt Deputy Governor Ceyhun Dilşad Taşkın has been assigned as a trustee to the Gökçebağ Municipality. Taşkın has been acting as trustee also at the Siirt Municipality since November 17, 2015 after the imprisonment of Siirt Co-mayor Tuncer Bakırhan.
