In a written statement, HPG Media Center announced that guerillas carried out an action with artillery against the Turkish army positions at the Martyr Cihat Hill of Çukurca, Hakkari between 14:00 and 14:30 on September 18. Guerillas had also shelled the Commando Battalion in Çukurca at 10:00 on September 17.

CLASHES IN GIRKÊ OMERYA

HPG stated that a guerilla unit ran into Turkish soldiers and clashes broke out in the Gırkê Omerya region of Şırnak’s Uludere district at 09:00 on September 17. One soldier was killed during the clashes, and the guerillas reached their base safely.

ACTION AGAINST THE DEFENSE HILL OF ŞIRNAK BRIGADE

Guerillas carried out an action against the defense hill of the brigade in Şırnak at 10:30 on September 18, and 1 soldier was killed during the action.

SABOTAGE ACTION

HPG guerillas carried out a sabotage action against the soldiers near the villages of Bılbes and Guanse in Şırnak’s Beytüşşebap district at 00:45 on September 18. 1 soldier was killed and another was injured during the action.

TURKISH ARMY OPERATION IN BİNGÖL/GENÇ

HPG Media Center noted that soldiers launched an operation near Bingöl’s district of Genç after spotting a unit of YJA Star guerillas on September 17, who in turn carried out a sabotage action against the soldiers around 08:40 on September 8. The number of dead soldiers has not been clarified, and 2 soldiers and 2 counter guerillas were injured during the action.

ACTION AGAINST THE BATTALION AROUND THE DAM IN DİCLE

HPG guerillas carried out an action against the battalion around the dam in Amed’s Dicle (Piran) district at 06:00 on September 17. Local sources report that 2 soldiers were killed and another 4 were injured during the action, and the bodies of these soldiers were taken to Dicle hospital with ambulances.

CLASHES IN DERSİM

Lastly, HPG stated that clashes broke out between a guerilla unit and soldiers at the Tuzluca mountain pass in Dersim’s Ovacık district on September 16, and one soldier was killed and the guerillas reached their bases safely.

The Turkish army has been reinforcing the Geyiksuyu and Albori outposts in Dersim city center and preparing for a comprehensive operation in the region.
