HPG Media Center announced that 3 soldiers were killed during the guerilla actions in Şırnak, Başkale and Genç.

On October 7, guerilla units encircled Turkish soldiers in the Deriyê Berroj region of Şırnak at 10:00 and carried out a sabotage action at 15:00. One soldier was killed and 4 others were injured during the action.

YJA Star guerillas carried out 2 assassination actions against the soldiers at the Başkale District Gendarme Command in Van at 17:30 on October 8, and 2 Gendarme Special Forces members were killed during these actions.

HPG recalled that the Turkish army had launched an operation in the Karabilya, Ingani, Aşkita and Karaxpula regions of Van’s Başkale district on October 5, and announced that one guerilla fell as martyrs during the clashes that broke out here. The ID information of the fallen guerilla will soon be shared with the public.

HPG Media Center stated that soldiers and village guards have been preparing explosives in the Avnık village of Bingöl’s Genç district. Guerillas shot warning fires at village guards leaving Avnık village at 13:30 on October 8.

Lastly, guerillas carried out a sabotage action against a Turkcell, Vodafone and Avea cell tower in the Deşta Alan region of Hatay’s Kırıkhan district at 09:00 on October 7, and the tower was destroyed during the action.
