HPG Media Center announced that at least 20 soldiers were killed during the violent clashes that took place between soldiers and guerillas in Hakkari yesterday and today.

6 SOLDIERS KILLED ON ELİŞÊR HILL

HPG stated that as part of the Martyr Arnos revolutionary initiative, guerillas carried out a comprehensive action against the soldiers positioned at Elişêr Hill in Hakkari’s Yüksekova district at 10:00 on October 29. Guerillas shelled Elişêr Hill between 10:00 and 11:30, and destroyed many army positions and tents. 6 soldiers were killed and 4 others were injured during the shelling. Skorsky helicopters attempted to evacuate the dead and injured soldiers between 13:00 and 17:00, but were forced to retreat when guerillas hit them. The guerilla action was dedicated to the guerillas that have recently fallen as martyr on Elişêr Hill, and the Turkish army randomly shelled and bombarded the hill until 18:00.

Guerillas hit Skorsky helicopters that were attempting to deploy soldiers at Elişêr Hill between 07:00 and 08:00 on October 30, and the helicopters retreated without deploying any soldiers in the area. Warplanes randomly bombarded the area at 09:00.

Guerillas hit and damaged an earth digger that was used in the construction on Konserve Hill in Hakkari’s Şemzinan district at 09:30 on October 29, and the construction has stopped in the region. The Turkish army’s aerial activities were observed between 14:00 and 18:00 in the area.

3 SOLDIERS KILLED IN ÇUKURCA’S KOORDİNE HILL

3 soldiers were killed during a guerilla action against Koordine Hill in Hakkari’s Çukurca district at 10:30 on October 29. Guerillas also carried out a sabotage action against a group of 50 soldiers accompanied by two tanks and armored vehicles near the Martyr Zeki Hill, and 4 soldiers were killed and an armored vehicle was damaged during the action. 6 more soldiers were killed and 4 others were injured during the clashes that broke out after the sabotage action, and Turkish soldiers randomly bombarded and shelled the region after the clashes.

HPG stated that Turkish warplanes bombarded the surroundings of Çukurca’s Sıpê village at 14:00 on October 29, and noted that there are no guerilla units in the region.

Guerillas carried out an action with heavy weaponry against the soldiers positioned at Koordine Hill in Hakkari’s Çukurca district at 08:30 on October 30, and two positions were successfully hit but the numbers of dead and injured soldiers have not yet been clarified. A Skorsky helicopter attempting to deploy soldiers was also hit and forced to retreat from the area.

Guerillas carried out actions on three army positions of Koordine Hill at 09:30 on October 30, and 1 soldier was killed during the assassination action on the first position. The numbers of dead and injured soldiers in the second army positions have not yet been clarified, and soldiers randomly shelled the area after the actions.

Turkish warplanes bombarded the Dola Gıjne area of Çukurca’s Ertuş region at 09:00 on October 30, and soldiers randomly shelled the Nêveva and Keça regions of Şırnak on October 29.

1 SOLDIER KILLED IN AMED

1 soldier was killed during the assassination action HPG guerillas carried out in the Martyr Rojhilat area between Amed’s Lice and Hani districts at 16:30 on October 29 in order to commemorate martyr guerilla Zenda.

ARMY OPERATION IN KİĞI AND PÜLÜMÜR

HPG Media Center announced that the Turkish army carried out an operation in Bingöl’s Kiğı and Dersim’s Pülümür district between October 23 and 28 with the participation of soldiers and village guards.  Guerillas carried out a sabotage action against these soldiers on October 27 to commemorate martyr guerilla Rubar, and 1 specialist sergeant was killed and several other soldiers were injured during the action. The Turkish soldiers and village guards were forced to end their operation and retreat on the night of October 28.

5 SOLDIERS KILLED IN AĞRI

Lastly, HPG guerillas carried out an action against the soldiers laying ambushes in the Kirê Halac region of Agirî’s Bazîd district around 16:50 on October 28. At least 5 soldiers were killed and a guerilla named Şiyar was injured during the clashes that lasted for half an hour, and the injured guerilla fell as martyr despite all medical attempts to save his life after the clashes. The ID information of martyr guerilla Şiyar will soon be shared with the public.
