HPG (People's Defense Forces) and YJA-Star (Free Women's Troops) guerrillas celebrated Newroz in the Martyr Rüstem Cudi refugee camp in Makhmur and lit fires on the hills nearby. Guerrillas danced and chanted slogans by the fire, and Newroz was celebrated with great joy.

Guerrillas noted that the fire of this year’s Newroz would bring freedom to Kurdistan complement the resistance in the north. Guerrillas called upon Kurdish people to unite and secure freedom, and the celebration continued until the late hours of the night.
