HPG Press Office said in a written statement that one digger of the Turkish army was destroyed as a result of a sabotage action by guerrillas in Ertuş area in Hakkari's Çukurca district where an expansive operation of Turkish army is ongoing amid violent clashes.

A Turkish army tank that came to the scene following the action was also hit and destroyed by guerrillas with RPG-7 weapons. While the number of casualties left here couldn't be clarified, two soldiers were killed in clashes in Erbiş area within the operation zone.

HPG reported that Turkish army has been attacking Ertuş castle, Martyr Cahit and Martyr Neval hills since early Friday morning. While Turkish military units have suffered losses, the troops deployed here have been exchanged three times.
