HPG-YJA Star guerrillas talked to ANF on the occasion of 8 March, International Working Women's Day.

YJA-Star guerrilla, Dorşin Şervan, who said that the capitalist system destroys the identity of women every day and all the values related to women, underlined: "Women should join the line and ranks of resistance against it. Women's labor should be the voice of women in all areas of life. There are many reasons for our resistance in the mountains of Kurdistan."

Guerrilla Şervan added: "A free woman and a free man can be possible by following the philosophy of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan. Women can enjoy a free identity in all spheres of life, impose their existence and resistance. Women's freedom and women's labor should not be limited solely to 8 March. Woman is a part of life. The woman should be able to establish life with her own hands through self-defense."

Touching upon the goddess culture in the mountains of Kurdistan, HPG guerrilla, Siyabend Koçer emphasized that the freedom of men and women is interconnected.

Noting that ethical and political values enrich the culture of a society, Koçer said: "It is necessary to analyze the destructions created by a sovereign, ruling system. Freedom of women passes through the freedom of men. Freedom of both sexes reflects the level of a society. It is also important for men to see women's labor. As fighters, we continue our resistance in the mountains of Kurdistan, taking into account the values of women, the values of the communities and the peoples."

YJA guerrilla Destina Zagros said: "Our perspective on freedom is different. There is the Leader's ideology and roadmap with colors, differences, oppressed peoples and universal languages."

Zagros added: "Based on the theses of freedom, it is women's labor that also preserves the historical values of the Kurds. It is women's resistance. Women's resistance has an important place in the ranks of the PKK. The perspective of men is also changing. In Kurdistan and the Middle East, there is a dominant and despotic mentality under all crises and chaos. Those concerned with truth can become freedom fighters. In the mountains of Kurdistan, we see that women are fighting in a great and sacred way in every sense. A man becomes free with a free woman. We call it free co-life. A freedom fighter should make free co-life a principle."

Indicating that 8 March, International Working Women's Day has a great meaning in every respect, HPG guerrillas Fedakar Rıdvan said: "The Kurdish People have always been confronted with massacres, difficulties, genocides. The Kurdish woman who created great changes is the founding power of life.

In the mountains of Kurdistan, freedom fighters will resist and spread resistance to all areas of life. There should be a culture of resistance every day, it is imperative to develop a universal culture of resistance, with the resistance of workers, oppressed, peoples and women."
