HDP and DBP call for all-out resistance against Cizre massacre

Amed branches of HDP and DBP called for all-out resistance against the Turkish state’s massacre in Cizre, and warned that bigger massacres could take place unless people resist the ongoing savagery.

Amed branches of HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) and DBP (Party of Democratic Regions) called for all-out resistance against the Turkish state’s massacre in Cizre, and warned that bigger massacres could take place unless people resist the ongoing savagery.

ÖNEN: EVERYONE SHOULD ACT

HDP Amed Provincial Co-President Ömer Önen highlighted that the state was now attempting to massacre the people of Cizre after failing to break their resistance. Önen noted that everyone had been working towards the evacuation of the wounded people in Cizre, who were massacred by state forces in the basement of savagery today. Önen stated that everyone should act and resist the ongoing savagery.

'SUR' WARNING

In his statement, Önen noted that all party officials would gather in front of the DBP provincial headquarters at 14:00 today, voice their objection to the massacre, and resist in solidarity with the people. Öner said that people should resist from now on and warned that more massacres could take place in Sur and other towns unless people resisted the ongoing savagery.

ŞİMŞEK: WE CAN END THE SAVAGERY THROUGH RESISTANCE

DBP Amed Provincial Co-President Ali Şimşek said that the state prevented the evacuation of the wounded people several times, and that the city of Amed would rise up for the next three days in order to protest the massacre and increase the level of resistance. Şimşek noted that the state was attempting to massacre civilians after failing to break their resistance, and emphasized that people could end the ongoing savagery only through resistance.
