HDP Co-chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ were hurriedly taken to Diyarbakır Airport after the court order for their arrest.

Amed Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayors Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı, and KJA Spokeswoman Ayla Akat had been similarly taken to the airport after their formal arrest in the city last week. The three Kurdish politicians were first transferred to Istanbul, and then to the Kandıra Prison in the western province of Koceli.

It was exposed last week that the prison had already been arranged for Kışanak, Anlı and Ata yet before they got formally arrested.
