Masses gathered in the province of Batman today to stage a march in protest at the February 15 international plot against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

HDP deputies Ayşe Acar Başaran and Mehmet Ali Aslan also joined the demonstrators who were surrounded by police with armored vehicles yet before the beginning of the march. Police staged a crackdown on the mass soon later with rubber bullets, tear gas and pressure water.

HDP parliamentarian Mehmet Ali Aslan got wounded by a rubber bullet that hit him on the chin, after which he was taken to hospital.

Many people have been taken into custody amid the police crackdown.
