HDP MP and Women's Assembly Spokesperson released

HDP MP and Women's Assembly Spokesperson Dirayet Dilan Taşdemir who was taken into custody by police in Doğubayazıt earlier today, has been released.

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Women's Assembly Spokesperson and Ağrı MP Dirayet Dilan Taşdemir was detained by police who stopped her car while leaving Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı Monday afternoon.

Police forces with armored vehicles followed Taşdemir and those accompanying her for a while as they left Doğubayazıt after preparations for the Newroz. After stopping the car at the exit of the district, police took Taşdemir into custody.

HDP MP has been released in the evening after giving a statement in the scope of an arrest warrant for alleged “membership to a terrorist organization” in five separate case files opened against her.
