HDP MP battered, 3 journalists detained by police in İdil

Special operation police teams surrounded and later raided the house in Süryani neighborhood Sunday afternoon. HDP deputy who asked for an official permission for the raid was battered by policemen saying “We are the state itself. We can get in by blowing you, too, down.” Police searched the house after bringing an official paper of permission for the raid.
DIHA reporters Mahmut Ruvanas and Ferzen Çatak, and Azadiya Welat reporter Kadri Esen who are in the town to cover the ongoing onslaught were detained by police forces who furthermore seized all their computers and cameras.
Householder Süleyman Karagöl and HDP deputy's brother Veli Encü were also battered during the raid. Karagöl was also detained and taken to district police headquarters alongside the three Kurdish journalists.
