Schools in Silopi district of Şırnak are being turned into military headquarters since the imposition of a curfew last night.
Speaking to ANF about the recent situation in the district, HDP Şırnak MP Ferhat Encü said special operation teams continue firing on people on main streets as of early morning hours today.
Operation teams have also targeted the power transformers in neighborhoods which therefore remain in dark.
While snipers have been positioned on high buildings, people are taking precautions to protect themselves from their armed attacks.
Encü told that special operation teams dispatched to Silopi have been deployed in schools and are carrying military ammunition into occupied schools at the moment.
"It seems this siege will last long. Noise-making protests by the people continue", Encü added.
