Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) issued a report on Hakkari’s Gever (Yüksekova) district and emphasized that Gever has been the main target of attacks and sieges of state forces during the ‘curfews’ that have been declared across Kurdistan since August, 2015. HDP noted that curfews, which have been put to use right after the end of the resolution process and declared as unlawful by the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission), have been declared 111 times in 35 districts across 9 cities. State forces besieged Cizre, İdil, Gever and Silopi at different intervals, and Şırnak, Nusaybin and Sur continuously.
