HDP to transport voters to combined ballot boxes in Şırnak

HDP has taken action against the relocation and combination of ballot boxes in Şırnak.

The Supreme Board of Elections (YSK) is moving ballot boxes in Kurdish provinces in line with the AKP/MHP regime’s efforts to prevent the Kurdish population from casting their votes at 24 June elections.

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Şırnak branch has mobilized against the relocation and combination of ballot boxes. The party established a commission and arranged vehicles to take the voters to relocated ballot boxes.

Spokesman for the commission, Ömer Güngen, stated that; “They try to intimidate our people and engage in defraud through repression. Our people shouldn’t be afraid. We as HDP are ready to transport them to relocated ballot boxes. We and our people will be protecting our votes.”

Güngen remarked that there is a relocation order for 8 ballot boxes in Şırnak, 11 in İdil, 4 in Uludere, 9 in Beytüşşebap, 4 in Güçlükonak and 15 in Silopi.

Güngen said they have arranged vehicles to transport the voters to combined ballot boxes that have been moved to police and village guard controlled areas.
