Heavily tortured Xerabê Bava resident held in Mardin Hospital

It came out that Abdi Aykut, a resident of Xerabê Bava from whom no news was received for 5 days since his detention after torture by state forces, is held at Mardin State Hospital.

Abdi Aykut, a resident of Mardin's Xerabê Bava village under siege and attack, was tortured by state forces and then left in the garden of his house on February 17. After two days during which he remained fainted in the garden, state forces took him into custody. The man was suffering critical medical problems as he was detained, after which he was taken to hospital.

There was no news about Aykut since that date, and a photo showing his tortured face, taken while he was held at police department, emerged today.

Aykut's wife who spoke to ANF earlier today wanted to know the aftermath of her husband who she thought might have been executed as state forces denied his detention and his hospital record was cleared.

It has been found out in the evening that the man is held at the Plastic Surgery Department of Mardin State Hospital.
