Helicopter crashes in Duhok

A helicopter crashed for unknown reasons in Duhok Governorate in South Kurdistan.

A helicopter crashed in Duhok governorate in the Kurdistan region of Iraq on Wednesday evening. The vehicle allegedly belonged to the Turkish state. The crash site is near the village of Çemankê near Amêdiye.

The authorities in Duhok have confirmed the crash. The helicopter burst into flames. The reason for the crash is unknown.
