HPG Media Center issued a written statement on recent guerilla actions and Turkish military operations.

AMED

HPG stated that the Turkish army launched an operation in the Martyr Navdar region of Amed’s Lice district at 23:00 on November 23, and bombarded Sisê region between 07:00 and 08:00 on November 24. Clashes broke out between guerillas and soldiers in 3 different locations around the villages of Sisê and Derxust, and 4 soldiers were killed and 3 others were injured during the clashes. 7 guerillas fell as martyrs during the clashes, and the Turkish army retreated from the area on November 26. The ID information of the martyred guerillas will soon be shared with the public.

HAKKARİ

Guerillas carried out an assassination action against the soldiers positioned at Koordine hill in Hakkari’s Çukurca district around 15:00 on November 26, and 1 soldier was killed here. Guerillas carried out another assassination action on the same hill around 14:30 on November 27, and another soldier was killed here.

Guerillas also shelled the soldiers at Koordine hill at 13:30 on November 27, and 2 soldiers were killed during the action. The Turkish army retrieved the bodies of dead and injured soldiers with Skorsky helicopters.

Guerillas carried out an assassination action against the soldiers between Qela Petrut and Kaniya Randevuyê in Çukurca around 16:00 on November 27, and 1 soldier was killed here.

HPG announced that guerillas shelled the soldiers positioned at Dola Zeytê in Hakkari’s Yüksekova district between 14:30 and 16:00 on November 27, and at least 2 soldiers were killed during the action. Guerillas shelled the same area also on November 27, and the numbers of dead and injured soldiers have not been clarified.

ŞIRNAK

HPG Media Center recalled that the Turkish army had launched an operation in the Cudi region of Şırnak on November 23, and stated that 4 guerillas fell as martyrs during the clashes that took place here throughout November 24.

QANDIL

Lastly, HPG announced that Turkish warplanes bombarded the İlemun village, Karox hill, Berdeqaşo hill, Pederxin slopes and Dola Bedra region of Medya Defense Zones’ Qandil region between 19:30 and 22:00, as well as the Tabura Ereba area of Avaşin region at 20:00 İlemun köyünü, Karox tepesini, Berdeqaşo tepesinin etrafını, Pederxin yamaçlarını ve Dola Bedra.
