HPG: 14 soldiers killed in Amed and Şırnak

HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office released a statement providing information regarding the most recent actions carried out by guerrillas “in response to the increasing operations of the fascist Turkish army” in North Kurdistan territory.
According to the statement, guerrillas carried out a sabotage action targeting a Ranger type military vehicle on move near the Mazi territory on Amed-Mardin highway at 08:30 on March 15. HPG said three soldiers were killed and one other was wounded as result of the action which was carried out in retaliation against the operations launched by the Turkish state in recent process.
At 09:40 on March 16, guerrillas targeted the Turkish soldiers deployed on hill Şehidan in Elemun (Çığlı) area of Şırnak's Qileban (Uludere) district.
Guerrillas hit the soldiers effectively here from two directions, as result of which 1 A4 emplacement and 5 other emplacements were destroyed. 11 soldiers in these emplacements were killed and 3 others were wounded during the action after which Turkish troops bombarded the area from surrounding outposts till 13:00 in the afternoon.
