HPG Media Center issued a written statement on recent guerilla actions and Turkish army attacks.

HAKKARİ

In its statement, HPG stated that guerillas carried out an action with heavy weaponry against the soldiers at Konserve Hill in Hakkari’s Şemzinan district between 08:00 and 09:00 on November 6, and one soldier was killed during the action.

Guerillas also carried out a shelling action against the soldiers positioned at Çeta Hill in Şemzinan between 13:30 and 14:00 on the same day, and an army position was destroyed but the numbers of dead and injured soldiers have not yet been clarified.

HPG guerillas carried out an action against the soldiers at Elişêr Hill in Hakkari’s Yüksekova district between 15:00 and 15:30 on November 6, and 3 army positions were destroyed but the numbers of dead and injured soldiers have not yet been clarified.

HPG guerillas also fired RPG-7 rockets at the soldiers at Elişêr Hill between 07:00 and 07:30 on November 7 and the numbers of dead and injured soldiers have not yet been clarified.

Guerillas carried out a shelling action against the soldiers at Koordine Hill in Hakkari’s Çukurca district at 10:20 on November 6, and the numbers of dead and injured soldiers have not yet been clarified. Turkish army is reported to have randomly bombarded the Küçük Cilo area after the guerilla action.

HPG guerillas also carried out an assassination action against the soldiers at Koordine Hill at 07:00 on November 7, and one soldier was killed during the action.

Guerillas carried out an action against the soldiers positioned at a road construction on Hakkari’s Meskan hilltop around 11:30 on November 6, and one soldier was killed and another was injured during the action.

ŞIRNAK

HPG Media Center announced that the Turkish army launched an operation in the Besta region of Şırnak on November 4, and clashes have been taking place between soldiers and guerillas. HPG stated that more details of this operation would soon be shared with the public.

GUERILLA AREAS BOMBARDED

HPG stated that Turkish warplanes bombarded the Lolan water, Lelikan, Kelaşin and Geliyê Reş regions of Medya Defense Zones between 19:00 and 22:00, the Mervanos region of Avaşin between 12:00 and 20:00, Erguş village between 19:00 and 19:30, Bergarê area of Garê between 19:20 and 19:50, and the Sıpê village of Zap between 11:30 and 12:00 on November 6. Villagers’ gardens and properties are reported to have been damaged during the bombardments.
