HPG Media Center announced that 7 special operations police (PÖH) were killed and 5 others were injured in a resistance of self-sacrifice a guerrilla named Mahir Amed displayed in Ergani.
HPG said in its daily statement that Turkish forces attempted to raid a house in Fevzi Çakmak neighborhood in Amed’s Ergani district, where guerrilla Mahir Amed was stationed for a mission, at 22:00 on July 21. Clashes broke out between Amed and the state forces, during which 3 special operations police were killed. Clashes continued when state forces sent reinforcements to the scene, and 4 more officers were killed during the fighting that continued until 08:30 next morning. Guerrilla Mahir Amed carried out an action of self-sacrifice with his grenade when he ran out of his ammunition, which left 5 more special operations police injured and several others dead. Amed fell as martyr at the end of this action.
3 SOLDIERS KILLED IN ŞEMZİNAN
HPG Media Center announced that guerrillas carried out an action against the soldiers at the Durê outpost in Hakkari’s Şemzinan area from 2 directions at 09:00 on July 23. Three soldiers were killed as guerrillas hit the army positions, and an armored vehicle was damaged as they targeted the outpost. Soldiers randomly shelled the surroundings of the outpost after the action.
ACTION IN ŞIRNAK
Guerrillas carried out another action against the soldiers at the Guzêkurkê outpost in Şırnak at 06:30 on July 23. The number of dead and injured soldiers couldn't be clarified, and the fire that broke out when soldiers randomly shelled their surroundings after the action continues.
SABOTAGE ACTIONS IN ÖZALP AND KEBAN
HPG said that guerrillas carried out an action against a cargo train of the Turkish state in Van’s Özalp district at 11:00, and the high-voltage transmission line from Keban dam to Azerbaijan between Elazığ and Dersim on July 23, and both actions reached their goals of destroying their targets.
TWO VEHICLES SEIZED IN DERSİM
Guerrillas seized two vehicles belonging to Benli Engineering Firm operating at the Çanbulak outpost in Dersim and warned the workers there on July 22.
