HPG Media Center issued a written statement on recent guerilla actions and clashes.

HAKKARİ

Guerillas carried out a shelling action against the soldiers positioned at the Elişêr hill of Hakkari’s Yüksekova district at 15:45 on November 9. The numbers of dead and injured soldiers have not yet been clarified.

Guerillas also carried out an action against the soldiers at Martyr Zeki hill in Hakkari’s Çukurca district at 14:00 on November 9, and 7 soldiers were killed and 2 were injured during the action.

Turkish warplanes are reported to have bombarded the Şukê and Mervanıs areas of Hakkari’s Yüksekova district and the Ertuş region of Hakkari’s Çukurca district at 18:00 on November 9.

VAN

HPG Media Center noted that counter-guerillas have increasingly been pressuring the residents of Kanispiyê village in Van’s Başkale district for some time now, and guerillas carried out an actions these counter-guerillas, who are also responsible for the martyrdom of guerilla Şiyar Rojhılat, around 15:30 on November 9. 4 counter-guerillas were killed and another one was injured during the action.

BİNGÖL

HPG stated that a group of counter-guerillas attacked the people of Mıstan village in Bingöl’s Genç district at 09:00 on November 8, and guerillas carried out an action against these counter-guerillas in response. A counter-guerilla named Mehmet has been killed, and counter-guerillas are reported to have pressured and tortured the villagers after the action.

HPG announced that a civilian from Bitlis named Salih Güven has been punished for his crimes of espionage and prostitution on November 8.

ŞIRNAK

Turkish army is reported to have ended its operation in the Besta area of Şırnak, but is continuing its operations in Akıri, Zorava, Besta Bıluzer and Besta Hıncê regions.

Lastly, HPG guerillas carried out an action against the soldiers on an operation in Besta Hıncê at 09:00 on November 10, and 1 soldier was killed during the action.
