Commander Amed Malazgirt attended the celebration ceremony in the Zagros field on behalf of the People's Defense Center (HSM) Command.

Dozens of HPG (People's Defence Forces) and YJA Star (Free Women's Troops) guerrillas from different fields were present at the ceremony.

Speaking here, Malazgirt wished happy Newroz to Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, families of martyrs and patriots.

“2021 WILL BE VERY FIERCE”

HSM Commander Amed Malazgirt said: “The year 2021 will be very fierce. War will escalate from Kurdistan's mountains and cities to Turkish metropolises. The Turkish state may organize special operations to prevent the war from spreading to cities. Since 2017, they have organized special operations in many parts of the world, resulting in violent clashes. However, they did not get the result they wanted. If you remember, the Turkish state was saying and indeed believing that the PKK would end in Newroz 2017. Some states helped them, provided them with opportunities. They also produced some special weapons and drones proliferated. They made plans to end the PKK on this basis. They mobilized all their means to achieve this.”

"THE TURKISH STATE CANNOT FINISH THE GUERRILLA OFF"

Underlining that the PKK has not disappeared neither in 2017 nor in the following years, Malazgirt said, "You see, we are celebrating the Newroz of 2021" and noted that the plans of the Turkish state have not succeeded.

Commander Malazgirt continued, "The power of the Turkish state is not enough to finish the guerrilla off. So, what is the source of this? From what power does this labor, sacrifice and resistance take its source and energy? The foundation is solid. The foundation is the spirit of struggle of Mazlum Dogan, Kemal Pir, Hayri Durmuş, Rewşen and many other PKK pioneers.”

Stating that they have been fighting against the occupation of the Turkish state for 40 years with this spirit and will, the commander pointed out that the Turkish state attacked the PKK since it considered the PKK as the only obstacle to the destruction of the Kurds and Kurdistan.

“NO ONE CAN DENY KURDISTAN AS LONG AS THE PKK EXISTS”

“They also know very well that as long as the PKK exists, no one can deny the Kurdish people and Kurdistan. That's why they are attacking violently,” the commander added.

Underlining that the year 2021 will be violent, Malazgirt addressed the guerrillas and said, “Therefore, the duty of every comrade is to prepare himself well against the occupation of the Turkish state and to wage a great war against the occupation with great sacrifice.”
