HPG Press Office released a statement providing detailed information regarding the ongoing actions of HPG (People's Defense Forces) and YJA Star (Free Women's Troops) guerrillas in Northern Kurdistan and Turkey.

HAKKARİ

HPG recalled their previous statement in which it had been reported that 8 soldiers were killed and 4 others were wounded as a result of the guerrilla action that targeted a group of 30 soldiers heading towards the Asayish point near Garê Regiment in Hakkari's Şemdinli district on October 14. HPG said the 4 wounded soldiers have also died.

2 other soldiers were killed in targeted actions of guerrillas who hit the Turkish military unit on Koordine hill in Hakkari's Çukurca district in the morning of October 14 and 15.

MARDİN

HPG said guerrillas carried out a sabotage action targeting a Turkish military convoy near the Sultan Şêxmus village on Amed-Mardin highway at 11:30 on October 14. While an armoured vehicle was destroyed, 4 soldiers were killed and 3 others were wounded in the action which was dedicated to the guerrillas martyred during the Turkish military operation in Mardin's Savur district.

Turkish army launched an operation in Hill Şehidan and Sırtê Martyr Xemgin areas in Mardin's Bagok territory at 00:00 on October 11. The operation was retreated on October 12 evening without yielding any results.

ŞIRNAK

On October 13, Turkish army started an operation around Setkarê village in Şırnak's Beytüşşebap district. Guerrillas carried out a sabotage action targeting the soldiers and counter-guerrillas deployed on a hill in the operation zone, which left 2 soldiers and 1 counter-guerrilla dead and 2 other soldiers wounded.

In the wake of the action, guerrillas also hit another Turkish unit stationed in the area, as a result of which 2 soldiers were killed and 2 counter-guerrillas were wounded. Turkish troops retreated from the area without yielding any results at 17:00 on October 14.

At 21:00 on October 13, guerrillas hit and destroyed 3 construction equipment working between Elemun and Aruş villages in Şırnak's Uludere district.

VAN

Within the scope of the Martyr Xebat Aktepe Revolutionary Initiative, guerrillas conducted a sabotage action against an armoured vehicle in a military convoy near Taxıkê village in Van's Başkale district at 03:00 on October 14. An armoured vehicle was destroyed and 8 soldiers in it were killed, while another military vehicle was also damaged. Turkish army started an operation in the area after the action which was a retaliation against the operation launched in Çukurca.

Turkish troops launched another operation in the territory of Aşkita, Karabilya, Karaxpula, Dêr and Govıkê villages in Van's Başkale district at 20:00 on October 14. More detailed on the operation will be shared with the public once available.

AMED

Turkish army started an operation in Martyr Baran area in Amed's Farqin (Silvan) district on October 9. In the afternoon of October 10, guerrillas targeted a Turkish unit near Derika Mıxura village, leaving 6 soldiers dead and 6 others wounded. The operation of the Turkish troops in the area continues.

As part of the Martyr Çekdar Mahir Serbest Revolutionary Initiative, guerrillas hit the Mılıka outpost in Amed's Kulp district from four sides at 06:10 on October 14.

Guerrillas hit the outpost building, its entrance gate and watch towers from the first and second directions, and the positions from the third and fourth directions.

4 positions in the outpost were destroyed and 7 soldiers were killed during the action which was carried out in response to the aggravated isolation of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

On October 14, Turkish military launched an operation in the territory of Firdews, Fis and Hüseynik villages in Amed's Lice district. Soldiers partaking in the operation raided villages and detained many locals while the operation was retreated during the evening hours on the same day.

BİNGÖL

In another action, guerrillas hit the Setır outpost in the countryside of Bingöl's Yayladere district on October 14. One tank was damaged in the action while the number of dead or wounded soldiers couldn't be clarified.

DERSİM

Turkish military units are laying ambushes around Çakırkaya, Dereboyu and Sağlamtaş villages in Dersim's Pülümür district.

HATAY

Turkish army launched another operation in Tohdax area of Hatay's Dörtyol district in the morning hours of October 14. A clash erupted between soldiers and guerrillas in this area at 12:00 the same day. Guerrillas later infiltrated into the position of a Turkish unit at 16:30 in the afternoon, as a result of which one commander and 3 soldiers were killed.
