The HPG Press Centre has released a statement detailing the sabotage action against a military convoy of the invading Turkish army in Hakkari.
The statement reads as follows:
“Within the scope of the Marty Pîroz and Marty Agirî Revolutionary Campaign, our guerrilla forces carried out actions against the invading Turkish army.
The details if the actions are as following:
On September 6, at 17.40, our guerrillas carried out an assassination action targeting the enemy soldiers positioned on Elişer hill in Hakkari’s Gever (Yüksekova) district. One enemy soldier was killed in the action.
On September 7, at 00.10, our forces carried out a sabotage action against the enemy convoy consisting of a large number of armored vehicles in Xezalkê area between Hakkari province and Çelê (Çukurca) district. The targeted Kirpi-type armored vehicle in the convoy was totally destroyed and 15 soldiers were killed. Following the action, the invading Turkish army closed the road to traffic between Hakkari and Çukurca, carried away dead and wounded soldiers from the area with ambulances.
On September 7, at 14.20, our forces carried out an action against the invading Turkish army soldiers positioned on Lêlîkan hill in the Bradost region of Sidekan in Southern Kurdistan. The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined in this action where enemy positions were put under intense fire.
Within the scope of the Martyr Delal Amed and Besta Martyrs Revolutionary Campaign, our guerrillas carried out an action against the invading forces positioned on Martyr Canxurt hill in Siirt's Herekol area on September 5. Two soldiers were killed and one soldier was wounded in the action.
On September 7, between 15.00 and 16.30, the warplanes of the invading Turkish army bombed Şuşanê valley in Xakurke region and Martyr Serdar area in Avaşin region between 20.00 and 21.00 in the Medya Defence Zones”.
