People's Defense Forces Press Office (HPG-BIM) has released a statement detailing the most recent guerrilla actions in Hakkari, Elazığ, Hatay and Siirt provinces.

OPERATION IN GEVER

According to the statement, Turkish army started an operation in Xırvatê village area in Hakkari's Gever district on July 18. Guerrillas hit a unit partaking in the operation, which left one soldier dead.

In the wake of the guerrilla action, Turkish troops opened random fire on the people in this area, as a result of which one woman lost her life.

DRONE DOWNED IN ZAP

HPG continued, reporting reconnaissance activity by one Predator and two Bayraktar-type unmanned aerial vehicle over Martyr Rüstem area in Zap region between 10.00 - 19.00 on July 17.

Guerrillas hit the aerial vehicles effectively, as a result of which one Bayraktar-type UAV was downed and the Predator was damaged.

Turkish army bombed the Martyr Rüstem area with howitzer and mortar fire between 16.00 – 17.30, which started a fire in the area.

ACTION IN SİİRT

At 06:00 on July 18, guerrillas hit the Reşinê outpost in Siirt's Eruh district from two sides. Three soldiers were killed from among those targeted by guerrillas, and several panzers here were damaged. Troops in the outpost opened random fire on the surroundings and soldiers started a fire in the field in the afternoon.

During the evening hours, Turkish army started an operation in the area. The operational force was targeted in a sabotage action of guerrillas, which left 4 soldiers dead. The actions were dedicated to Martyr Bedran Koçer.

INFILTRATION IN ELAZIĞ

At 04:45 on July 17, guerrillas infiltrated into the Saman outpost in Elazığ's Arıcak district, and hit the soldiers here effectively at close distance. Four soldiers were killed in the action which was dedicated to the guerrillas martyred during the operation in Amed's Farqin (Silvan) district.

SABOTAGE ACTION IN HATAY

In a sabotage action at 17:00 on July 17, guerrillas hit and destroyed a base station in Değirmendere area in Hatay's İskenderun district.
