HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office reported in a written statement that guerrillas carried an action targeting the police headquarters in Amed's Çınar district at 21:20 on January 1.
Accordingly, guerrillas targeted and hit 3 armored vehicles and the policemen performing road check near the police HQ. The action was conducted in retaliation against the civilian massacres perpetrated by the Turkish army. Results of the action couldn't be clarified.
On the other hand, HPG reported an intense activity of Turkish helicopters around the Elişêr Hill in Oremar (Dağlıca) area of Hakkari's Gever (Yüksekova) district as of 14:00, January 2.
According to the statement, troops at Bezelê (Aktütün) outpost in Çele (Çukurca), Serêsêvê (Işıklı) and Gırê outposts bombed Hill Sor, Hill Martyr Ronahi and surroundings of Bêtkar village with howitzer and mortar fire since yesterday.
The bombardment caused remarkable damage on the targeted areas.
