HPG pays tribute to martyrs of Kağızman

The HPG Press Liaison Center (HPG-BIM) commemorated three guerrillas who fell martyrs in a Turkish air strike in April 2020 in Kağızman, province of Kars.
In a written statement, the HPG Press Liaison Center (HPG-BIM) said, “On 29 April 29 2020, an air attack was carried out by the invading Turkish army against the Kızılkilise area in Kağızman, Kars. In the air strikes, our comrades Çavreş, Harun and Özer joined the caravan of martyrs.”

The statement included the following information on the guerrillas: “Our comrade Çavreş was born in a patriotic family and joined the ranks of the freedom guerrilla in 2007. Growing up in Rojhilat Kurdistan, comrade Çavreş managed to go beyond the borders designed by the imperial system that divided Kurdistan into four parts.
Our comrade Harun was born in a patriotic family in Serhat and grew up with the culture of resistance.
Our comrade Özer, who was born in a patriotic family in Ağrı, never bowed to the assimilation and policies of denial of the colonialist Turkish state with his rebellion and resistance character.”
