Both friends acted with the consciousness of their responsibility from the day they joined the guerrilla. On this basis, they made it one of their main goals to deeply study the philosophy of Rêber Apo [Abdullah Öcalan] and to achieve the principles of the guerrilla of democratic modernity. In this context, Gelhat and Zindan completed their ideological and military training with great success and took position at the resistance front in Zap province, one of the important resistance areas in Kurdistan, to fight against colonialism.

From 2018 to 2020, our two companions managed to become exemplary Apoist fighters with their military attitude and practice by participating in many actions in which the Turkish occupation forces were dealt heavy blows. Gelhat and Zindan participated in life with a sacrificial, humble and upright attitude. They became role models for their friends and symbols of how Apoist militants should live and fight. We are aware of the responsibility to do justice to these two friends, and we offer our condolences to their families and the patriotic Kurdish people. We will keep the martyrs alive in our memory. This is our promise."
