The HPG Press Center released the balance sheet of war for the month of April.

The statement said: “The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas, the will of freedom and the main defense force of our oppressed people, continue to defend the lands of Kurdistan against the colonial powers, even in the most difficult conditions. The sworn enemy of the Kurdish people, the fascist AKP-MHP regime continues its attacks using all the means at its disposal. This fascist regime, which collapsed politically and economically, is trying to survive by continuing the dirty war it launched to destroy the free will of the Kurdish people. Despite all these attacks, our guerrillas did not give way to the colonialists and made history with the resistance they carried out.”

The statement added: “The fascist AKP-MHP regime, which has built its existence on the destruction of the Kurdish people and wants to get results with dirty war methods, has increased its attacks ahead of the elections and wants to get results by deceiving the public with fake news and fake victory stories. The war criminal AKP-MHP regime, which carried out tens of attacks with thousands of invaders and unlimited technical support in Bakur Kurdistan from Mardin to Botan, from Botan to Serhed, could not get the desired results against the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas that are armed with self-sacrificing determination.”

Medya Defense Zones bombed 1081 times

The statement confirmed that, as far as guerrillas could detect, “the resistance positions in the Medya Defense Zones were bombed 1081 times, 76 times with warplanes, 61 times with combat helicopters, and 944 times with tanks, cannons, howitzers and heavy weapons. The colonial Turkish army added new ones to its war crimes and used chemical weapons and banned bombs 8 times against the guerrilla’s resistance positions. The fascist regime's reckless perpetration of all kinds of crimes against humanity and war and its hope for help are the last struggles of the regime, which is on the verge of collapse. There were clashes with the invaders as our guerrillas responded to the enemy. In these clashes, 2 invaders were killed, 1 surveillance camera system and a gun were destroyed.

The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas, which restructured themselves as the Democratic Modernity Guerrillas and became the hope of freedom for women, youths and all the oppressed, keep the hope of a free future alive thanks to the efforts of our immortal comrades who fought to the last breath against the invaders. Our comrades Xebatkar Bagok, Bager Wan, Hêjar Zozan, Rosîda Bawer, Ekin Rizgar Manzikert, who fell as martyrs in Bakur Kurdistan in April, and our comrade Botan Goyi, who joined the caravan of martyrs in the Medya Defense Zones, have written their names in the resistance history of our people. The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas, that inherited the struggle of Dilxwaz Gabar and Gulchiya Gabarlar and took it as a basis to achieve victory, will crown the cause of freedom with victory.”
